Hip-Hop Print Advert  This is my practice poster, which I have created in order to advertise a new Hip-Hop album.The advert features 'Jean Ralphio' and 'Tommy Fresh' as from my research of the hip-hop genre, many posters feature the artists as fans like to feel as though they connect with the artist. Their clothing, stance, and the fact they're looking away from the camera implies a careless attitude which a lot of hip-hop fans would aspire to be like. However, they aren't the central selling point as I ensured the text was larger and brighter than them as the name of the album needs to grab people's attention as they walk past the poster on the street or see it as they flip through a magazine. The yellow contrasts the brick wall and their dark clothing as well as connoting to money and riches, which makes it perfect to get that attention. Hip-Hop CD Cover When researching the conventions of a CD cover for the Hip-Hop Genre, I found it hard to identify common themes between them. However, it is evident that Hip-Hop is a genre dominated by men. With the names 'Jean Ralphio' and 'Tommy Fresh' that I was given, as well as male artists being stereotypical of Hip-Hop songs, I thought it was fitting to have two male subjects on the cover. For the outfits, casual clothing with 'bling' seemed to appear on many of the Hip-Hop albums I looked at. In-keeping with this, I have one of the subjects dressed in a denim jacket and a baseball cap turned backwards to show attitude. For my own CD cover, I took inspiration from two Hip-Hop artists that I am most familiar with.  Like many album covers for the Hip-Hop genre, this album is very simplistic and use block colours.
